Sponsored by Herbalife as commitment to promoting healthy active lifestyle

Jakarta, July 21, 2016 – Herbalife, a global nutrition company, officially announces the Herbalife Bali International Triathlon 2016 will be held at Mertasari Beach, Sanur, Bali on 14 August. For the second successive year, Herbalife Indonesia is title sponsor of the event, which combines swimming, running and cycling.

“This is the ninth year we have sponsored the Bali International Triathlon, and the second time we are title sponsor,” said  Andam Dewi, country general manager of Herbalife Indonesia. “After seeing the thrilling competition and enthusiasm of the athletes each year, we believe this year’s event will attract the interest of sport lovers across the country and internationally.”

In its role as the title sponsor, Herbalife will provide Triathlon participants with its nutrition products for use in pre-event training, during and after events. Herbalife will have five booths at the location, with free flowing Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix and NRG tea for all participants, who can also get a free check of their fat and glycemic index by Herbalife members. Each winner will receive a Herbalife products package.

We expect this event will boost the prowess of Indonesian triathletes, as well as strengthen the positive image of Indonesia as a destination for global sports tourism.”

The event is already amongst Indonesia’s most loved triathlons, famed for its iconic venue and unrivalled race experience. It has won honors including “Best Destination Triathlon” by Competitor Magazine in the US. This year’s triathlon will feature three competitions of varying difficulty: Olympic (Pool 1.5 KM, 40 KM Bike, Running 10 KM), Sprint (Pool 500 M, Bicycles 20 KM, Run 5 KM) and 5K Fun Run, and is set to attract 1,500 participants.
